Everything on lowcarb.ph, including articles, meal plans, recipes, food lists, and answers we send by email, is for general education. It is not medical advice, and reading it does not make you a patient or private client of Coach Den or Low Carb Philippines.

Talk to your doctor first

Low carb and keto eating can change your blood sugar, blood pressure, and fluid balance within days. That is often the goal, but it also means some medicines may need a lower dose. Please see your doctor before you change how you eat if any of these apply to you:

  • You take insulin or diabetes pills, especially sulfonylureas (like gliclazide or glimepiride) or SGLT2 inhibitors (like empagliflozin or dapagliflozin).
  • You take medicine for high blood pressure, or diuretics.
  • You have kidney disease, liver disease, gallbladder problems, or a heart condition.
  • You are pregnant, breastfeeding, or trying to get pregnant.
  • You have had an eating disorder.
  • You are under 18.

Never stop or change a prescribed medicine on your own because of something you read here. If you feel dizzy, shaky, confused, or unwell after changing your diet, check your blood sugar if you can and contact your doctor. In an emergency, call 911.

Results vary

Our articles include stories from clients Coach Den has coached over the past 10 years. We share them with permission, and we change or leave out names to protect privacy. These stories show what happened to one person. Your results depend on your health, your medicines, your habits, and many other things, so treat them as examples, not promises.

Research and sources

We base our articles on published studies and official health sources, and we name the studies we use. However, nutrition science keeps moving, and a study we cite today may be revised tomorrow. We review our articles regularly, but we cannot promise every detail is current at the moment you read it. If you spot an error, email info@lowcarb.ph and we will check it. Our editorial policy explains how we research and update content.

Products we sell

Low Carb Philippines also sells food and pantry products. Our articles may mention or link to them. No food product we sell is a medicine, and none is meant to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Food supplements sold in the Philippines carry the FDA reminder: “Mahalagang Paalala: Ang [produkto] ay hindi gamot at hindi dapat gamiting panggamot sa anumang uri ng sakit.”
